Online Business Tools – That I Use and Can Recommend

 

No matter what type of micro or small business model you may wish to start in today’s world – you will need the right online Business tools.  

Imagine trying to build a home from the ground up with just a screw driver and a hammer.  I mean some may have managed this, but you get my drift right?

Whatever you are trying to do to master your craft you need the right stuff to enable you to get the job done effectively!

There are many online business tools below which can help you as they have helped me, and it is important that you master whichever ones you need to support you in delivering the best quality and standards.

The other thing to be aware of is that – tools are there to help us, not replace us, and we cannot just assume that we can sit back and allow automation to do everything, we must be on top of our operation.  

Using the right tools for the job assists us in our vision, and serves us to create great products and services, enabling us to build successful Small Business models, when used and operated in the correct ways. 

 

The future of business

In the current climate of rapid change and possibility the environment of business is always shifting and changing, and there may come a time when you wish to leave your business and sell it. 

So bear in mind that you may one day wish to part with your business and create an exit strategy, so it will pay you to know as much as possible when the time comes to selling your model.

This means ensuring that your business is of great value, through the right operational processes which means it uses all the best tools.  

For example, have you ever tried selling an old car that is past it’s prime?  Maybe you have?  As you may know, you would make less money for it if it was a wreck, but what if you kept that car in shape, by maintaining it, and ensuring that it was worth more?  This would have given you the highest yield, as you would have looked after it.

Back to now; whether you work solo or lead a team of 100 or more – you have to look after your asset, and be on top of understanding what is required for you to thrive today.

I can recommend a book called ‘Vision to Exit’ By Guy Rigby, a well seasoned experienced entrepreneur.  Who talks you through every single step of the sales process.   This book has helped me and my past clients to safely sail through the process and navigate out of business operation in many business models, and make a healthy deal from the sale. 

 

Tool Testing

I have spent over 15 years online exploring the best online tools and resources both online and offline, and I have been cultivating my Small Business Consulting brand name through using the right tools.

And this means only using tools that are of a high quality and standard.

I have supported and guided hundreds of other small business owners locally and globally also in their models, through sharing tools, testing what works best, tweaking and adjusting what they need to maximize the flow and ease of business operation to attract buyers, whilst also lowering risk where possible.

We need to reduce as much operational risk as we can, and this is achieved by using those premium tools.

 

Risk

Let’s face it, life is a risk every day to some degree, and if we never take risks we won’t get very far from home, but there are of course different kinds of risk, and some need to be avoided at all costs. 

If we miss one step or an area that needs our attention it could sabotage the entire operation. 

So, it pays to understand the various types of risk. 

Creative risk in order to stand out may be required, and the right risks may be necessary, such as when you may need to outperform others and have a edge in a market or sector!

If you want that edge you will need to know your product inside out, and know your goals and measure your data. This means understanding your metrics, and taking into account the exact problems you need to solve, whilst having a constant eye on your customers.  

So bear in mind that creative risks to drive growth or to become the monopoly may be necessary, whereas mindless risk through negating a fundamental area of your business can cause failure.     

Through this process of measuring risk and determining where to place your focus, you can improve performance as you collect data and tweak or change what is needed, and you may need to invest into other areas to do so, through working with your team to make those necessary improvements.

It might be that you need to create your very own tech or tools to help support your unique risk taking strategies. 

 

 

Creating our own tech

So it might be that you work with your team to develop your own tools.

We may create and develop our own bespoke tools, and in many startups it is not uncommon to create proprietary technology for the sake of a particular sectors requirements.  This proprietary technology may also serve other businesses, which means that you can even sell this tech to others, as it might be an innovation of what stood before.

Many startups today are pushing the boundaries of what went before, and so it is not uncommon that new tools are developed, and then these may be sold onto to other startups. 

But it’s not just about having the right tools to help you succeed!

It takes the right management of these tools, it takes leadership, listening skills, daily clear action, repetition, hard work, laser focus and strategic planning, amongst other things.

This means you need to cultivate the right culture and attitudes in your team, and ensure that each and every person understands the mission, values and vision of the whole. 

Through each person’s commitment it means you may outperform your nearest competitors.

Every person has to be able to operate in their own role with the best tools that they require to do their best.

If however we as leaders fail to understand the tasks of each person and the tools they need to be effective, we will likely ultimately fail.

 

 

Online Business Tools I Use 

I have learned to use what serves me best, and to use what is trusted and reliable.  This means exploring the background of a company or business I invest in, and seeking to know the reliability of the software and hardware being used.  

And it’s not just about in house tools, it is about using and working with other businesses, operations, suppliers and companies to support your goals.

Each part of the process is like a cog or wheel in a machine, and each part has to run as smoothly as possible.   

This may mean you need to hire or outsource other experts, or hire another team to undertake this, so they can test and tweak, and report back to you what works and what doesn’t work. 

When working online or using online tools you will need the right Hardware and software which means you have all of the right components and programs so that these work together in harmony.  Again, hire others to test this for you if you cannot.

 

Running a business

Working online or offline or both in any business model, and creating a constant flow of revenue generation to create growth takes a lot of hard work, and the first year will be the biggest test of whether or not you have what it takes.

There is no doubt that in today’s modern world there is far greater competition, and so there is a vital need to be on top of our technology.

If we are behind in our sense of awareness and in how we operate, we could become irrelevant very quickly. 

So we have to be ahead of the game, and always be eager to test all of our tools to ensure they are working for us and with us. 

This means applying specific daily routines and important tasks consistently on the right areas to grow.  

This takes a strong mindset, resilience, focus, persistence and an ability to face challenges head on – in order to find the solutions quickly and effectively.

 

Delivering Value

Through using the right online and offline systems and processes that are measured and managed, and having a solid vision or goal stemming from our core values, coupled with a purpose driven reason, you can learn to continually grow and evolve from that core base of truth and authenticity.   

Delivering this correctly is key, and there are certain principles to follow which I have outlined, and certain tools that are vital in this delivery.  

This is where solid business plan and leadership comes in, as we need to be able to lead ourselves and our teams effectively every day where there are dynamic strategy meetings, open great communication, opportunity for more business revenue, active listening, personal growth, diversity, and an energy of passion and drive. 

All based around that mission and vision. 

Each person needs to understand their contribution and value, and each person in their respective role works their best and as a part of the overall vision of the team and ethos of the business mission.

Hire the best only, and build a robust team.

You need to know your ultimate role and craft and master it.

This way you can do your greatest work.

Feeling fulfilled is something we can all achieve, and this is done by understanding your perfect role.

And I have found that truly great customer service and communication requires simplicity and ease for the customer.

Get to know your core strengths, abilities, talents, passions, interests, purpose, and work from there to carve out your ultimate role if you have not done so already. 

Why? Because, when we do our best work we are more effective and consistent, as we have that deep connection with what we do. 

My advice is to Invest in yourself and your brain and body also.  Read plenty of books in your area and in other areas, and become the go-to expert in your sector.

Exercise every day and keep yourself sharp and aware. 

The main part of your toolbox is YOU!  Understanding every tool you need means you will create greater growth both internally and externally, and this means greater success in life and business.

Be mindful to spend carefully and save where possible, so as not to aimlessly use a scattergun approach to business, and this includes every element of business.

You cannot just throw money at things and hope it sticks, you need solid planning, clarity around goals, strategic objectives, a good self education, awareness of others, and an ability to keep on and even adapt when the going gets tough.
