Facebook fanpages are something which most of us have heard of, and since this post was written originally we have also moved on and changed and today Facebook offer numerous ways to expose our messages, brands and businesses.

 

 

I also have a Facebok group where I interact, listen to members and offer support and empowermentas I it is a passion of mine to help others who may need guidance and help with defining their purpose in life.

 

So, today, I have 3 fanpages and 1 group.  Some will have more and some less.  But the key with what I do is to expose my brand and my role in order to connect with likeminded types whilst delivering great value and building rapport.

This in turn leads to deeper connections with others and it also allows me to build a list and even sell products and services down the line.

A facebook fan page and group is FREE of course so it costs me time rather money.  I don’t use Facebook PPC as I have before, but it takes such a great deal of testing and investment in order to see a return of investment for me that I moved away from it.  That is not to say that it doesn’t work for others and there are plenty of trainings, videos and groups which teach this.

 

Let’s Start With The 5 Reasons and then we will go into more detail:

 

1) TO MAKE MONEY = we can create an income through Facebook based around building realtionships and followers.
2) TO CREATE EXPERT POSITIONING = we can grow our brand and identity and be an expert building great momentum

4) TO SHARE POWERFUL MEDIA (EXPOSE BRAND) = Sharing value demonstrating our expertise means we gain trust and can become a ‘go-to’ expert

Trust is a key word here as with all business as if a person see’s anything too promotional, shammy, scammy or hypey they wil soon be gone, so act with integrity, professionalism and seek to add that all important value.  It’s a marathon not a sprint.

OK, It Is No Secret That A Facebook fan page Is A Very Simple FREE Marketing tool.

But If You Don’t Know HOW TO effectively Monetize Your Page What Is It Used For?

 

 

 

 

The key is in strategising your page so that it works for you.

 

So we can creatively and actively cultivate the page as a powerful communications channel whereby we can create more custom, and Facebook provide a suite of tools and resources for exactly that. So we can choose whether we want a personal page, business page or some kind of informational value driven page to gather followers.

 

 

The beauty with this is that you and I have the same kind of exposure and ability to reach highly targeted specific customers who are wanting what we offer as much as a large organisation or company, so when used right we can build a solid resource.

 

Back when social media first started it was all a kind of experiment and various named companies all tested the water with features and benefits and as time progressed they adjusted, tweaked, changed and even radically altered what they did to stay in the game and evolve.

But some Social sites never lasted.   They came and went, they grew and folded.

Luckily – for you and me Facebook is still here so we can leverage it’s power of being extremely visible and piggy back off of its power.

 

So right now you could be using facebook in the right way for you, and it might even be delivering sales for you so that’s awesome, well done, but could you increase your returns even more?

I am using facebook to drive targeted traffic to my other offers, and to my lists, and I am building the relationship whilst I also measure the effectiveness of what I do. The great thing is that the tools are there to help us also.

Maybe you have YouTube videos, courses, blogs, books or any number of products or services which you can share and offer, so you need to establish your strategy for using the resource in the best way for you.

The best part is that we can follow others and learn from them and we can outsource what we wish to build.

Be a professional, and this is great for coaches or professional figure/leader.

Be original in approach in order to stand out.

 

 

What you can also do is to add AFFILIATE LINKS to your Facebook fanpages and call it RESOURCES SECTION or something like that.  So that when your fans get there they will check out your stuff. You can use affiliate links from anything that is relevant to your passions and skills.

The fact of the matter is that the page can be built very quickly and what you want to do is to first start to add people in your immediate network.

They will also let their sphere of influence know and so this will help to grow it organically and its important to do so because organic means REAL!  Real people not bought fans who are not active.  Activity drives more activity, and so it can grow naturally and powerfully from a solid foundation.

But how has this helped me?  I started a FB group 6 months ago and whilst its still in its infancy I have been able to contact members and connect with them, but also offer coaching to those who needed it most. I follow a procedure which allows me to understand, grow rapport and eventually sell £2k coaching programs.  I have sold 5 in 6 months.  So, £10k in 6 months just from 1 group – which was FREE and easy to set up. Bear in mind that this is one stream of income extra, which can be set up in 2 days and grown over several week.

And that is just one group. I have also created other facebook fanpages which drive customers here to this blog and my website.  I measure everything I do, so I can tweak what is necessary.

 

NOTE: LinkedIn is my favourite site for connecting on a singular level with potential clients, as it has more of a professional association to it, and always has had – so I would highly recommend setting up a professional profile there of course to drive business your way.  But, with the Facebook platform, it has changed in many ways, and in some ways not for the better and less professionally, so we really need to add value to be appreciated, respected and trusted there in order to accomplish our goals.
