My Partner Lisa and I love to Visit Many Wonderful Places In The World And so I Wanted To Share a Great City we love with you, just to share a little more about me. 

I have now been blogging since 2006 and writing books, but also Business Coaching, course creating, podcasting and basically helping my students all around the world.

Some of my work has enabled me to be anywhere, and I am really showing you and trying to emphasize that this is a business model which is really possible now.

Whether you want to be a book or article writer, content creator, copy writer or blogger or even a Coach, consultant or Trainer -you can create a great business and literally work anywhere you like.

During Our Time Together Lisa And I Have Had Many Travels All Over The World And Enjoyed Many Places Of Discovery.

Vancouver Is Just One Of Those Places Which We Hold Dear In Our Hearts. We Love To See New Things And Take The Laptop On The Go! We Feel Very Lucky And Grateful To Be Able To Travel And To Share Our Experiences With Others.

Over the last 20 or so years I have been lucky to travel all over the world and I think that I got the bug.

It becomes quite addictive, so of course this means my partner and I wanted to see more of the world.

One City we both love is Vancouver in Canada.  Its a pretty City and very clean.  Its modern, forward thinking and very friendly also.  Plus there are many types of beautiful scenery around.

I am really just sharing because I believe that as we only have one life that we know of its best to follow our passions.  No matter what they are, we all feel passionate about something, and for me its many things, so I try to get involved in all of my passions.

I managed to get some work done in our hotel and then we started exploring.

 

We had just came up from San Jose California which we already love very much in many ways and we have been to Cali about 20 times so far!

Of course – California has many many wonderful places, things to see and so on, and we love it every time, but this was a total change for us.

We Arrived late at night by taxi and saw lot’s of tall penthouse apartments and mirrored glass skyscrapers and the lights of the city glowed in multi colour reflecting off of the water.

The body of water running under the bridge next to where we were driving along was tingling with the reflective light.

We arrived at the hotel and slept well in a large room with a big comfortable bed and huge window overlooking the harbour and city.  We slept well, and it was a top class hotel with everything we could possibly need.

The next day was a bright, fresh and sunny day.  There were lot’s of white boats moored all over bobbing around in the dock in front of the drop back of tall modern glass apartments.  And we talked about what it would be like living in one of the luxury apartments.  As we wondered around we spoke to many people from various backgrounds and tried to learn as much as we could about our stay.   

It was alot of fun.    And life is meant to be isn’t it?

Everywhere I looked was a picture opportunity so that’s why there are a few here.

We got aboard the ferry across to Granville Island.

Artistic or what!

It is a creative plethora for artists and buyers showing their work and others admiring the creative work.

There were lot’s of little clean and neat shops and place’s with intimate corners and quirky little wooden shack like buildings.

We had Fresh, tasty and organic food and amazing locally brewed beers.

The Micro-Brewery here is cool and has various types of beer, and after I was served with a crisp clean beer which was amber in colour I took a good look around and soaked it all up.  This was one of many trips week took, and we travelled further down to Seattle and Portland afterwards on the Starlight express overnight train.   And we thoroughly enjoyed each City we were lucky to visit.

So back to Vancouver – we took a good walk around the harbor and surrounding island – and we absorbed the immense magic around us.

So, after we ate some delicious fresh fish and drank the local beer we headed back to the ferry and got dropped back at the end of the dock area going back into the city area by our Hotel.

As we arrived at the other side of the harbor we saw some of the biggest brightest private yachts i had ever seen – and it was a Multi-Millionaire’s playground.  Personally I wouldn’t spend the money on one even if I had the money to throw away as these things are huge money pits.

But each to their own hey!

So, after we had a good look around at the boats and spoke to a few owners we then headed up the old cobbled street to a coffee house.

This was an area which oozed with money and style.

The lovely little Shops everywhere were mainly boutique and expensive furniture shops and i noticed very stylish people walking around.

There was certainly a an exciting buzz to the city which had great energy and a taste of good clean living, so I recommend it if you have never been.

Back to the Hotel

We arrived back and we were very comfortable hanging out in the lobby talking with the very friendly staff there.    It was a pretty chilled evening in the end and we had a lovely Steak dinner with a nice bottle of Red at the Hotel as we reflected on our day.

We walked a fair bit again the next day – and we got a lift up to the top of the look out tower where we could see the city in all it’s finery.  Then after a cup of hot silky chocolate and a host of conversations with various people once again we got on the red bus to travel around Stanley Park which stretches around the outside of the edge of Vancouver in almost a full circle.

It is around 5 miles of trees and green grass, and flowers everywhere – so it was a beautiful sight to behold.

When we got back we were ready to hit the hotel again and chill as all the walking was catching us up.

Travelling With My Laptop: I can recommend the city to anyone who wants a change from the USA, and anyone who likes a walk able fairly busy but friendly place.

It was one of those Cities where every view is another great photo opportunity and a pleasure to behold with funky modern buildings which pop up all over the place and plenty of watery areas slipping in between every gap.

Building memories

This is a great place for me to visualize when I want to be taken back to a relaxing state of mind and I think that’s important as we all want to create great memories in life don’t we.

I think that life is all about memories and moments and living fully.  I also think that we need to discover what we could be most passionate about doing.  For you it may be starting a Small Business in your local community or buying a franchise?  OR you may want to become a freelancer and share your expertise online?

I have many passions other than my business and a few are Drumming, Painting, Music, Dancing, Reading, and many more, so I don’t think for a moment that we only have to think that we can only do one thing.  Maybe we are all a genius at something?   Perhaps we all have many gifts we can express?  The key thing is finding the ROLE or roles we can perform in and love when we wake up in the morning.

I Really Hope that this post may have inspired you just a little to explore your passions deeper.

As I said before – its your life and your choices. Every day we are making choices about our next move, or we are living by default.  We have a choice.

We can either drift or design it.  

I was once at Art College doing a variety of things including painting, sculpture, and furniture building.

 

 

Whilst I did drop out I always had that interest in the creative mind.  So, this white sculpture in the picture was an interesting one to me I must say.

So, what are your dreams?

I believe its good to dream, and not only dream but look at ways in which we can create a focus on our vision and make a plan to move towards it.

After all – what is stopping us?  It is usually US!

But, if this helps you – what I did was to first discover my passions and ideas, and after a few weeks then look at designing the right business for me and market need whilst also developing the business with the right exposure, branding and marketing.

This is essentially what I do now to help my students.

So my Coaching is basically about this:

DISCOVER = What passions, ideas, skills, talents, abilities, experiences etc can you work with. 

DESIGN = Define the right business type and model to meet market demands and be unique in order to be the best in your sector

DEVELOP = Build and grow the business with the right exposure, branding and marketing

So, as you can see I love travelling around the world.  I am lucky and very fortunate.  But I worked for it.

I came from a normal working class family, I had no special privileges, education or luck, I made my own. 

In fact I was once a college drop out,  party addicted broke, 30 year old guy with no prospects.  I was once depressed, anxious, lost and I literally was ready to end it all BUT I saw a book on my mothers book shelf when I was painting her living room,  I read it and continued to read books until my mind started shifting.

I applied what I learned and eventually after a long journey was able to build a life of my making. 

So, if you think I am in some just LUCKY, then sure I am i agree, but as I said – I made my own luck.  

Some call it Labour Under Correct Knowledge.

And this is a perfect way to describe what it takes.

This is what you need in my humble opinion which is not much:

SPECIFIC ACTION

CONSISTENT APPLICATION

That’s really it.  Can you do that?

So, what are your passions?

Are you expressing them?

What are you doing about them? 

What do you need to move towards them?

Will you need help from an expert or a  team?

What size Small Business could you see yourself running?

Bear in mind that my business is a MICRO business. I have now a team of 10 who work also on Laptops, so even though it is more than just me we can all work where we like.   I say this a great deal in my posts but, TIME is what we are buying and if we don’t use it in the right ways it will pass us by and so, I urge you to get clarity around what you might most love to do, otherwise what is the point in it all?

Some of us want children, marriage, a wonderful home, the Hot holidays, the Cars etc.  So I would love you to write down what you want and why. Get down the picture. And when you do visit it every day, get into it and become immersed in it.   Fill your mind, emotions and entire being with your brightest and most powerful images what you want.

The key is in specifics.  Use your wildly unlimited imagination and dream,  FOCUS on WHAT you most desire continually and ACT on your inspired ideas.
