Passionate Living – How Do We Create A Purpose Driven Role

WHY? Because we can grasp life and find out what we can be truly passionate about doing every.   Don’t you think?

You may not know me that well yet, but I am not just passionate about Small Businesses and their growth, I am passionate about Human beings doing what they love to do in life and as a Coach I love to serve in this area.  So, to me, business has to be backed by passionate owners and operators otherwise, what do they really mean?

I have built my life and business round this, and I have helped countless others around the globe to create purpose driven passionate roles and they are happier for it.  After all, don’t we all have a right to BE WHO WE ARE and live authentic, truth driven lives and roles?    Who would argue with that?

We all have roles, family, friends, jobs, and so on and we adopt new roles and let go of old ones also, so we are no strangers to roles, BUT how often do we really consider and I mean REALLY consider what we want to do with our lives to the point of crafting and designing lives and businesses we love to be in.

We work more than we do anything else for the most part so why do what we hate?

For the money?

Because there are no other choices?

We are fearful of change?

We don’t believe in ourselves and our dreams?

We feel we are not good enough, smart enough, young enough and so on?

What is it?

Whatever it is – it is usually taught to us by our parents and teachers and so limited belief systems set in and we start to form our identity and self image.  This is common place we all do it, based on what we have learned.  So, many will never change this unfortunately, but some do, and I am one of them.

Have you ever seen one of those ‘purpose’ diagrams before like the one above?

I suspect you may have – and they do vary quite a bit; but what did you take from it?  Did it help you?  What were your results?  Did you go in 110% into exploring this?  Where is your life now as a result of that?

Certainly for some this can help, but for others it might simply be a case of knowing what they want right from an early age.  You know those super talented 6 year old’s who can play a Piano like an angel!

Some kids just know what their future will be mapped out like, and others not so much.

Then other simply drift, they drift through life and live by default.

So, do you want to love by DEFAULT, DRIFTING, or do you want to DESIGN your life?

Of course, we can take personality tests, and we can look at our ultimate working styles, study various markets, look at our gifts, talents, abilities and experiences which we have been through ALL in order to help create and define a great role.  I certainly do believe in exploration and discovery, and I have even created a course for it.

But why am I passionate about it?  Because I was a college dropout, a drug using depressed kid, a dead end job person, and even suicidal at 30.  At 30 I had to make a choice life or death.  I chose life as I believed that I had to use my gift, and that gift was that I just GOT PEOPLE!  Knowing that I had a gift and could bring joy to others lives and build rapport rapidly I had to use that and serve.

So why not you?

Today there is no better time in so many ways as there are so many ways to express ourselves in various areas.

Whilst I still hear many people saying NOT TO follow your passions, this is just an opinion, but I disagree.  I feel that we have to be passionate about something in order to do our best work.

Some say we should keep our passions separate from our work, but for me – I have many passions and so I really decided to choose one to follow.   I couldn’t see myself doing I work I hated every day for 40 years.

It’s quite simple – ‘we all have choices and we all make decisions, so the question is ‘are your standards high enough?’ and if not why not?

Look at your life and standards and ask yourself if you are genuinely living a life of your making.

So, how important is it to you to do something you love?

How many of us hate what we do?

I just really don't get that.

Sure you may enjoy making money, or you may love entrepreneurship which is awesome, and you may say that you are not passionate about anything, nor would you want to be working in your passion as it is a fun hobby OUTSIDE OF WORK; Well that’s cool, good for you, but then are you not passionate about entrepreneurship?

So, my point is – we have to find some fun in what we do in order to enjoy it no?

FUN = ENJOYMENT

What is the point in doing something which could mean 10 hours per day of your life until you retire, if you are simply not interested in it.

So, sure many hate their work, but love the money and again, fine, but I see it as a waste of life to live and spend the most time hating what we do just for money.  I see money as a tool, I use it as it helps me and my loved ones; it is not about me GETTING it GREEDILY above humanity.  I serve.

So, what if you could work in a role which mean you served every day and earned great money?

And by the way – when I say serve I don’t mean we have to be serving people face to face, we might creating important scientific breakthroughs or developing cutting edge technology, or saving the rain forests.  Serving really means having a role which is worthy of you and can bring huge value to the world.

That’s just my opinion of course.

But Here’s What I am looking for every day:

SATISFACTION

FULFILLMENT

EXCITEMENT

INTERESTING CHALLENGES

JOY

ACCOMPLISHMENT

I get that from what I do in my passions.

As I said – you may have many of them which is awesome, as we may work in one area and another day decide to work in another, life is fluid like that, so it doesn’t need to be simply one thing at all, it may be many various things.   We can explore of course, but what is the point in not expressing ourselves?

So we may have many passions – and our work may be one of them.

I myself have many passions and I chose to work in one area as my primary source of revenue.

The questions is; can you monetise what you love?

That’s the big Q isn’t it.

The World Is Changing

Around us there are limitless opportunities to explore our passions.

But, we have To START TAKING CONTROL of Our Own Futures.

We cannot rely on the governments or anyone else to help us, as we have to rely on ourselves to begin with.

It is only when we start to become accountable, responsible, and have integrity and ethics can we then start to forge a worthy role which matters to us and delivers to others.

We can also expect the best and accept the best in our lives if we want things to start to change.

Change is where life can turn into what we actually desire as a opposed to us FALLING INTO NORMAL LIVING BY DE-FAULT.  Some may even say existing.  But we are not simply here to exist I don’t believe.

You are the one who controls this – NO-ONE ELSE.

It is advised then that you don’t spend YOUR LIFE LIVING SOMEONE ELSE’S!

Most people live by default, meaning that they take a job or fall into a relationship and live life on the terms of the other person or the annoying employer.  They then spend most of their life either in fear, anger or disappointment – living with and WORKING FOR SOMEONE WHO THEY DON’T REALLY LIKE!

Now – what is more ideal to you; living MOST OF YOUR LIFE on OTHER PEOPLE’S TERMS, OR Living life on your terms?

I really whole heartily believe that we have to strip back all layers, get rid of life’s clutter and complexity and start over by getting to the core of who we really are.

Only when we can strip it all back and get some clarity from our truth can we then start finding the right answers and solutions.

Now you might say “GREG GET REAL!” we all need jobs these days to put food on the table and get by! I know that very well myself, and I would never say that you should walk away from pay, when you have bills to pay.

Don’t do it!

But what you can do is to apply time to asking better questions about your ideal role.  That’s they way to do so.

What I am saying is that YOU CAN BEGIN to formulate a plan in order to learn about the art of applying a specific vision and strategy towards your goals.

Passionate Living and life are on your terms, so use what tools you need to help you.

Get a Coach, use technology, hire teams if need be, and never be afraid to reach our and ask.

In fact, I remember when I was starting out and I had to ask as I had no money.  I asked experts questions and with a burning desire I started to develop more and refine my strategy.

I contacted whom I admired and respected and got to work.

I didn’t sit around with an IDEA and get over analytical about it all.  I took MASSIVE ACTION.

That’s the only way to change anything.

BY THE WAY I KNOW WHERE YOU ARE AS I HAVE BEEN THERE!

I was going from job to job. I hated my employers in many places, but I think I hated myself more for choosing these situations, And the more I hated myself the less I trusted in my choices.

I had to become the esteemed leader who I was searching for.

I had to learn to lead my life and I did.

See the difference?  It wasn’t the JOB it was ME!

Some people are meant to be in certain jobs and roles as they are kind of happy muddling along, and that’s fine, someone has to do these things, but is that you?  Really?

NOT ME!

I have always believed in and wanted to MAKE A BIGGER DIFFERENCE!  My life and purpose is something which is simply bigger than me – so it is easy more me to know that I have to follow it, and lead in this way.

Passionate Living Now: Where Can You Start To Express It?

> With Your Self Expression In Your Relationships – Give more and take joy more in simple chats
> With Your Hobbies – Explore them, get them moving and define where one may be best placed.
> With Your Dream Business – What is that vision?  Why is it that?  What can you do now about it?
> With Your Job – Are you in the right role yet? If so great!  If not explore change now and build something.
> With Your Ideas – What are those ideas which flash through your mind?  What have you done with them?
> With Your Imagination – Use it. It is there to dream with.  We often under use it for bad stuff but don’t.

The truth is – I wouldn’t have built this blog, my coaching, my podcast, courses, books and everything I have done if I didn’t get clear.  Once I knew my message nothing stopped me.

So, what’s stopping you?   Find it and let it go.  It’s time.

This isn't about magic or miracles either!

This is not some weird fantastical idea, this is a proven philosophy which has been passed down for many generations.  The philosophy is that – when we step outside of our comfort zones, and grasp what is ours we start to grow, become more, and even attract more in.   Ways are made, tools come to our aid, messages and signs are there when we believe and act.

On top of that – I believe we need to love ourselves more. Silly question no?

Well – when we love ourselves more we feel good, this way we make better decisions, and we are in a state where we feel we wish to explore our passions more, and from there create a purpose driven life or role.

Don’t believe me?   Try saying to yourself this over and over ‘I love and respect myself’ and as you keep saying it, you will feel a rush in your tummy, and this rush will take you higher and this will start to create a clarity around who you really are which will in turn drive you to make better choices and decisions.

The more you do it, the better life becomes I KNOW – I HAVE DONE IT!

So, what would be best for you?

If you could love and appreciate yourself and choices more what would you do?

I CAN’T ANSWER THAT! YOU CAN!

You have to find out what it is that you would love to do and WHY, and when this happens your life will begin to start shifting like a LARGE STUBBORN ICE BURG which has finally started cracking around the edges. You will build momentum and the more you focus your efforts on this you will see those CHANGES begin.  But only when you are prepared to change.

By the way, we don’t need to change, we are not becoming something else, what we are doing is becoming our true selves.

This self is and was always there, but get’s buried under Earths rocks and soil, but the brilliant beauty within can only shone when we see that we are only here once and time is always running out.

Passionate Living all starts in the mind!

Taking responsibility for yourself and for following your passions is the right path.

But in doing so, we have to stop blaming things outside of us, as it is us that has created our lives NO-ONE ELSE. (Some circumstances are exceptional I know that) but I am sure you know what I mean.

And once you learn to accept this you can stop doing what you are doing, and stop dwelling on what is not important to you or for you and you can start to move forward.

Living in the past stops the good you want NOW.

Your mind on the surface has only so much it can DWELL ON, and it starts to take in so much, and eventually the subconscious mind will begin to believe it all, so let it dwell on creating a life full of passion and expression.

If you fail to plan you plan to fail! Heard That One?

Yes, plans change very often and that is not an issue as the goal remains the same, so we can keep moving and adjusting in whatever ways we need to.

But you have to KNOW WHERE YOU ARE HEADED, just like a Ship ‘with a rudder’ YOU STEER THE WHEEL.  You choose ; you are the Captain Of Your Ship.

Within You now there Is infinite power  – I believe.

When we can get focused in the NOW we can gain in our greatest strength and that is because we are not wasting our time or energy in areas which are not meant for us.

Think about it – we all only have so much energy in the day yes?  So, why waste it in worrying and fretting, or why waste it in ‘WHAT IFs?’

My suggestion to my clients is that we should AIM our energy into areas which matter the most.

It just takes a decision from you to harness YOUR power and be In control.

We often allow everything else to control us when ‘we’ are the masters.

Taking control is about YOU!  So, it’s time YOU REALIZED WHAT YOU ARE CAPABLE OF.

How do I really Know though?

Because I changed and helped hundreds of others do so also from many backgrounds and cultures!

I was seriously STUCK!  I was P***** OFF! I was BLAMING OTHERS and SITUATIONS! But I started learning and applying what I was reading in books and I attended events, conferences and listened to empowering audio’s. I took CONTROL, regardless of my past, thoughts, beliefs, and regardless of the obstacles and challenges I faced.

Now – I live life with full expression and passion.  I ENJOY WHAT I DO every day as it brings me joy. This Passionate Living wheres the complication?  I say keep it simple.

You can now, today grasp life and realize that there will be challenges, times when you want to quit, setbacks, and all kinds of trials, and it’s meant to be this way as that is the way it is, but in knowing that each step means growth and also holds a lesson which has within it a NEW GIFT to grow more and helps you to move towards your goals.

If there is something that you really wanted to do in life then START MAKING PLANS TO DO IT NOW.

What is your Truth?  Only you can know your ultimate role.  I have no idea.   But I am creating my life every day the way I want i to bet!  I am increasing my learning by making more mistakes and by taking more action and in achieving more by doing so.
